Army Museum In Kashmir: Gulmarg’s Tribute To Military
A new tourist spot opened in Gulmarg —- one of the prettiest towns in Kashmir. The Army Museum In Kashmir also called “Gul-A-Seum”, is now open to visitors. Lt Gen MV Suchindra Kumar, the top commander of the Northern Command, inaugurated the Gulmarg Army Museum. This new place tells the story of Kashmir’s rich past and shows how the Indian Army has helped secure the area.
Displays Of Army Museum In Kashmir
The new Gulmarg Army Museum was created by the Dagger Division and Himalayan Brigade. This Army Museum in Kashmir celebrates the courage and dedication of Indian soldiers. Visitors can explore displays about:
- The Army’s role in wars
- How the military helps develop the country
- The rich culture of Jammu and Kashmir
Colonel VN Thapar, a retired army officer, shared his thoughts about the Army Museum in Kashmir with the news agency ANI “This museum is more than just a building or a tourist attraction; it stands as a tribute to those who sacrificed their lives in various wars fought by the country.”
Col Thapar further explained that the new Gulmarg Army Museum shows the history of wars in Kashmir. These include fights with Pakistan and China.
Gulmarg, widely popular for its rich heritage and stunning landscapes, is now also home to the Army Museum honouring Indian soldiers.
