Vietnam based budget-friendly airline VietJet is all set to start their operations in India. Famous for their controversial promotion style, “Bikini Airline” will start direct flight operations between India and Vietnam from 6th December this year. Now travelers can experience the vibes of Bikini airline in India as well :P.

The airline came in limelight in the year 2011, when they featured their cabin crew in bikinis in their promotional advertisement.  The Company was in-fact fined by Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) in January 2018 as ‘models dressed in bikinis’ were present in the flight carrying the official under-23 football team of Vietnam to the Asia Cup.

Starting from the 6th December, the airline will start Ho Chi Minh City-New Delhi flight on Friday, Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. On the other hand, from the 7th December, the Services for Hanoi-New Delhi flight will start operating on the remaining days of the week.

To entice customers in India, Bikini Airlines has announced attractive fares for these two new routes in a quick three-day booking scheme (Aug 20- Aug 22). The airline is offering unbelievable tickets starting from Rs 9 (VAT, Airport fees, and other surcharges are excluded). The sale will end today, as per the official page of the company 8000 seats are available under this promotional offer. You can fly between December 6, 2019 to March 28, 2020.

While speaking to News agency IANS, VietJet’s Vice President told that “India is one of our priority markets and important addition to our growing network.” 

According to a report published by industry consultancy CAPA, Hanoi- Delhi was one of the largest Vietnam-India City pair, which accounts for 12% of flight bookings in 2018 between both countries. At present, VietJet Air operates approx. 400 flights daily, on 129 national and international destinations.

India’s biggest airline – Indigo has already announced its services to Vietnam from October 2019, after getting approvals from the government. From the 3rd of October, Indigo airlines will operate daily non-stop flights between Kolkata and Hanoi.
