China Adds New Type Of Visa-Free Visits
- China is opening its doors wider by adding a new category called “Type F” for visa-free entry. This new option starts November 30, 2024.

China’s Visa-Free Entry Expands Tourism Surge
Starting with six European countries in December 2023, the visa-free travel to China has significantly increased foreign tourism. In the third quarter of 2024, China welcomed 8.19 million international visitors, a 48.8% jump from the previous year. Notably, 4.89 million travellers entered using the visa-free option, representing a dramatic 78.6% year-on-year increase.
This is clear proof that China’s visa-free travel program has rapidly boosted international visitor numbers.
