Major Fire Accident At Maha Kumbh: 18 Tents Blew Up
A fire accident at Maha Kumbh, Prayagraj took place when 2 to 3 gas tanks exploded at the campsite(area 19). The fire spread to several tents where people were staying. The good news is that nobody was hurt, and officials were able to put out the fire quickly. The Prime Minister contacted the Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath about the cylinder blast at Maha Kumbh.
Fire trucks were already at the festival for safety. When they heard about the fire, they quickly went to help. The local officials, police, and firefighters worked together and put out the fire fast.
A senior police officer named Bhanu Bhaskar told the news that 2-3 gas tanks blew up in area 19 of the festival, causing a big fire in the camps. The good news is that everyone is safe and no one got hurt in the cylinder blast at Maha Kumbh. The fire burned down at least 18 tents. A special rescue team (NDRF) came to help the firefighters put out the fire.
The Samajwadi Party posted a message on X saying they were sad about what happened. They also asked the government to quickly help and rescue people.
“The government is also keeping a close watch on the entire incident. The situation is completely under control”, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak posted on X on the Kumbh Mela fire incident.
The big religious festival Maha Kumbh 2025 started on January 13, during the full moon day called Paush Purnima. More than 7.72 crores of devotees have bathed in the holy water so far. Officials said that about 46.95 lakh people took the holy bath just on Sunday.
