According to another legend, the place belonged to the Babus of the place, and these Babus brought women and sexually assaulted them. In oder to hide their shameful act, they used to kill the women, so there was no one to report them. 

It is believed that the women who died pitiable death have made the place haunted.

2. Terra Vera Mansion, Bangalore

Terra Verra Mansion in Bangalore is one of the most mysterious places in India, It was built by EJ Vaj in the year 1943, who later gifted the house to his two daughters Dolce and Vera. 

Story Behind Terra Vera Mansion

Vera was a piano teacher and in the year 2002, an intruder who broke into the house stabbed Dolce to death. Her body was buried by the murder on the premises. 

As per the stories, Vera soon moved out of the house. Soon after the incident, the people began to see paranormal activities, ghostly apparitions, headless statues of Jesus and Mary, an inverted cross, and also heard sounds of someone playing the piano.

Story Behind Malcha Mahal

For several years, the palace remained abandoned until one day when a mysterious family came out of nowhere and claimed to be the descendants of the Nawab of Awadh. 

This family urged the Indian government to return their ancestral property, which was forcefully taken by the Britishers. The then Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, indulged in the case and, after looking at the condition of the family, granted them permission to take ownership of the mansion. 

Wilayat Mahal, who was the head of the family started living here with her son Ali Raza, and daughter, Sakina Mahal. In the year 1985, the family moved into the mansion. 

As per the locals, the place is haunted by the ghost of Begum Wilayat Mahal, who allegedly committed suicide by consuming crushed diamonds, and the last member of the family Ali Raza was found dead in the palace in 2017.
