It is one of the most advanced zoos in India, and it has adopted technological aspects such as a touchless entry system. 

The Indore Zoo is the most extensive Zoological garden of Madhya Pradesh, and it is spread around an area of 21035 sq.m. The Indore Zoo was established in 1974 in the Navlakha region of Indore. Initially, it was spread around in an area of 17 acres, but after a few years, in 1999, the Zoo spread over 32 acres, which was the land of Quadibag, and now the whole area is spread over 51 acres. In 2017, Indore Zoo became the first intelligent Zoo in India.
