Currently, approximately 124,000 passengers, that is about 4% of the 31 lakh daily commuters opt for AC local trains. Since the first AC local train was introduced on Christmas Day in 2017, these premium services have gained significant popularity. The upcoming additions are expected to be a game-changer for Mumbai’s commuters, offering more options for those who prefer cooler and more comfortable travel.
