Dec 25: Barot Waterfall Trek | Camping at Barot

  • Depart from Delhi at 08:30 pm (24th Dec) and Reach Barot by morning.
  • Check in the camps and have your breakfast.
  • After freshen up, start trekking to Barot Waterfall.
  • Explore the beautiful Barot village, experience fishing culture of the village.
  • After lunch and exploration, head back to camps
  • Dinner and overnight stay at Barot

Dec 26: Paragliding | Camping at Billing

  • After having breakfast, check out and depart for Bir.
  • Experience the thrill of paragliding at one of the best spots in India.
  • After having lunch at Bir, start your journey to Billing Reach Billing by evening and enjoy the very spectacular sunset in the Mountains.
  • Dinner at Bonfire and overnight camping under the star studded sky

Dec 27: Bir Local Sightseeing | Departure for Tirthan

  • Wake up early and after breakfast, start your journey for Bir.
  • Visit the Chokling Monastery Nyingma Monastery, explore Bir local market. Try authentic Tibetan Cuisine in local cafes.
  • After Lunch, Depart for Tirthan.
  • Reach Tirthan, Check in to the hotel
  • Dinner & overnight stay in the hotel.

Dec 28: Jalori Pass | Snow Trek

  • Wake up early and after having breakfast, head for Jalori Pass.
  • Drive to Jalori Pass (till snow point), trek further, and enjoy a stunning 360 view of the Great Himalayas.
  • Witness awe-inspiring beauty.
  • Trek further to Serolsar Lake (if weather permits)
  • Come back to the hotel and enjoy the Bonfire Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Dec 29: Jibhi Sightseeing | Overnight Journey to Kotgarh

  • Wake up, have your breakfast and check out from the hotel.
  • Visit the mesmerizing Jibhi waterfall.
  • Visit the local cafes and have lunch.
  • By evening start your journey to Kotgarh.
  • Dinner at Mandi and overnight journey to Kotgarh.

Dec 30: Tanni Jubbar Lake | Stay in Kotgarh

  • Check into the hotel, freshen up & have your breakfast.
  • Relax at the hotel till afternoon.
  • Start the journey to Tanni Jubbar lake.
  • After soaking in the beauty, and clicking beautiful pictures, head back to the hotel.
  • Dinner and overnight stay at Kotgarh.

Dec 31: New Year Celebration at Chitkul

  • After breakfast and some leisure, check out from the hotel.
  • Start your journey towards beautiful Kinnaur and Sangla Valley.
  • Stop at Karcham-Wangtoo Bridge and make a pit-stop for lunch at Sangla.
  • Reach Chitkul – The last Indian Village by afternoon.
  • Check-in, relax and indulge in the breathtaking view of Chitkul.
  • New Year Celebration at Hotel.
  • Overnight stay at Chitkul.

Jan 1: Leisure & Self-Exploration of Chitkul

  • Wake up late in the morning and enjoy the first breakfast of 2021 in the last Indian village.
  • You can visit Baspa riverside, and self explore the village.
  • Overnight stay and dinner at the hotel.

Jan 2: Chitkul to Shimla | Departure for Delhi

  • Wake up early morning and after breakfast depart for Shimla.
  • Reach Shimla by evening.
  • Depart for Delhi.
  • Reach Delhi next morning (Jan 03rd) with amazing memories.

NOTE: Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of participants etc. May cause itinerary change. We reserve the rights to change any schedule in the interest of safety, comfort and general wellbeing.

Exclusions

  • GST (5%) is applicable extra.
  • Any other Food and Beverage charge that is not included in the package.
  • Charges for Video/photos while paragliding or tips to glider, guide, helper, cook or any other staff member or any monument/viewpoint entry fee.
  • Any other costing involved due to any kind of natural calamity forced circumstances which are out of our control.
  • Any other expense not mentioned in the inclusion column.

Cancellation Policy

No Refund shall be made with respect to the initial booking amount for any cancellations. However

  1. If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  2. If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 75% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  3. If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  4. In the case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be canceled and in such cases, the operator will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However, no refund will be provided for the same.

Things to Carry

Gear and Extra:
• A rucksack bag and a day pack.
• 3-liter water bladder or water bottle

Clothes:
• A sun cap and a woolen cap
• UV protected sunglasses
• At least 1 pair of inner thermals
• One cotton long sleeves and 2 short sleeve t-shirt
• 1 flees jacket
• 1 heavy Thick jacket/down jacket
• 1 pair of gloves
• At least 2 long pants (trek pants and cargo pants are favorable)
• 4 sets of undergarments
• 2 pair of socks
• A small towel
• A rain jacket or a poncho

Footwear:
• Above-the-ankle waterproof and breathable hiking boots with good grip
• Flip flops/sandals

Medications:
• One strip of Diamox
• Glucose powder
• medicines for headaches, diarrhea, motion and altitude sickness
• Dettol
• Bandages
• Cotton
• Sprain relief spray
• Crepe bandage
• Any personal medication advised by the doctor

Personal & accessories:
• Toothpaste, toothbrush
• Paper soap, or sanitizer
• Sunscreen minimum of spf40 , lip balm, cold creams

And so we’ve curated an itinerary that would satiate the wanderlust in you!

Your Offbeat Himachal Backpacking will begin with the views of the mesmerizing snow-capped Dhauladhar Mountain Range from the beautiful Barot village. On the second day, you will reach the Paragliding capital of our country to feel the adrenaline as you take off to paraglide. Then, the trip would take you to the beautiful valley of Tirthan, from where you will start your journey to Jalori pass to experience the 360-degree view of the Himalayan mountains, following which you will get to explore Jibhi and Kotgarh. The trip would finally conclude at the last Indian village Chitkul, where you will start your new year!
