Sikkim Has Started Issuing Permits For Nathula and Tsogmo

 In Travel News

As per the latest developments, the government of Sikkim has already started issuing permits to tourists for visiting Nathu La Pass and Lake Tsogmo.

The officials have stated that the lower regions of the Teesta River have been affected by the flash floods, however, the upper regions are still accessible to the tourists. Besides these, other areas, including Pelling, Ravangla, Namchi, South Sikkim, and Dara, are also accessible to tourists.

The officials have instructed tourists to avoid using NH10 to enter Sikkim, for it is still affected on the West Bengal Side, and instead take the Kalimpong route. However, NH10 may reopen within a week.

Last Tuesday, the area experienced a fresh batch of snowfall in the Lake Tsogmo and Kupup region, so this is probably the best time to visit the lake and the Nathu La pass to experience one gem of a natural wonder in Sikkim.
