Taj Mahotsav 2024 To Take Place In February

The most awaited cultural festival, the Taj Mohatsav, is just around the corner and is set to be organised from 18th February to 27th February at Shilpgram, near the Taj Mahal, Agra.

Agra is known for its historical significance and its cultural vibrancy, honouring the love of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahotsav pays homage to the love they shared while also showcasing the rich culture of India.

The Taj Mahotsav lasts for 10 days and features talented artists, culinary experts, and some local performers of Uttar Pradesh. Artists from various places add to the essence of this festival and actively participate in this extravaganza.

The inaugural Taj Mohatsav took place in 1992, and this year, it will mark the 32nd edition.

This event, which features an annual Mughal-style procession and several folk performances, is organized every year by the Department of Tourism. From artisans to craftsmen, this event encapsulates the essence of all of India.

Entry Fee: Free for children below 5 and foreign tourists, and INR 50 for adults.
