 In Travel News

PM Modi’s recent visit to Lakshadweep Island has shaken the internet after he posted a few pictures and advised the citizens to visit Lakshadweep and witness the beauty of this island. Celebrities also took to their social media feed and joined in with the PM’s statement.

Due to this, there has been a surge in the number of searches for Lakshadweep tour packages. Now, The Tata Group is taking the initiative to establish two Taj resorts in Lakshadweep by the year 2026 in order to boost tourism and promote this tropical archipelago, which has the potential to become a tourist hotspot in the years to come.

Last year, in January, the Indian Hotels Company Ltd(IHCL), which is a subsidiary of the Tata Group, revealed that they were planning to establish two resorts in Lakshadweep, the completion of which is expected in 2026.

These resorts are expected to be built on the Suheli and Kadamat Islands. The Taj Resort in Suheli will feature 110 rooms, including 50 water villas and some 60 beachfront villas. Kadamat Island or Cardamom Island will also feature 110 rooms with 75 beach villas and 35 water villas, which will take luxury up a notch.
