Toorji Ka Jhalra was built using rose-red sandstone. It is 7 stories deep and supported by limestone pillars. The top two floors are open and used as pavilions. The step well was designed in a way that it provides water to people even during droughts. The stepwell also features balconies and incredible carvings of Hindu Gods and stories from Indian Mythology.

You can take a train to Jodhpur Railway Station from various cities across India. From the train station, you can take a cab or auto rickshaw which is around a 15-minute ride to Toorji Ka Jhalra. 

  • By Road:

Buses are available from nearby cities to reach Jodhpur. Once in Jodhpur, you can hire a cab to take you to the Toorji Ka Jhalra in about 20 minutes.

This building is made of white marble. Maharaja Sardar Singh built it in the 19th century to honour his father. It has a great architecture that looks a bit like a temple. 

5. Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park

This park covers a large area of 72 acres close to Mehrangarh Fort.  It has plants that naturally grow in dry and desert areas. People created the park in 2006 to bring back the original plant life to the rocky land near the fort. Visitors were first allowed to enter the park in February 2011.
