Found on the third floor, the Dubai Aquarium is found on the third floor of the mall and is one of the most popular tourist attractions and also one of the best places to visit in Dubai

The tank houses 140 different types of species of thousands of aquatic animals inhabited by sharks, rays, and other interesting creatures. It also boasts of having the largest number of Sand Tiger Sharks in the world.

Dubai Underwater Zoo

The Dubai Underwater Zoo is located on the tank’s level two, allowing you to discover an amazing range of aquatic species through 40 tank displays comprising three different ecosystems, including Rocky Shores, Living Ocean, and Rainforest, allowing you to spot some of the fascinating creatures including African Dwarf Crocodile, Otters, Giant Spider Crabs, Humboldt Penguin, Lionfish, and many other creatures at the Dubai Underwater Zoo.

You can buy passes to the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, and the cost will depend on the experiences that are being offered. 

The price of tickets on weekdays is AED 199 and AED 209 from Fridays to Sundays, and for the ultimate experience, take the AED 299 pass; you will not regret it. 

You can take the tickets from the counter, or you can book the tickets online in advance to avoid standing in long queues. You can book the tickets from the official site. 

How To Reach Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo?

Metro: Take the Red line at the metro and get off at the Burj Khalifa at the station, and from here, the Dubai Mall is just a few minutes walk away. 

Bus: Routes with a stop at Dubai Mall include 27, 28, 29, 30, 50 and 81. The closest bus stop from the Dubai Mall is at Al Jafiliya, which is just within walking distance. Board the bus heading towards Dubai Mall or Burj Khalifa 

Car: If you are driving, take the Sheikh Zayed Road E11 and look for signs pointing towards the Dubai Mall or Burj Khalifa.

The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo is located in Downtown Dubai, which is one of the tourist hotspots because the place is home to some iconic attractions, including Burj Khalifa, which is the tallest skyscraper in the world, rising to 828 meters above the ground. 

Dubai Fountain

Another popular attraction at the Downtown Dubai near the Aquarium is the tallest choreographed operating fountain in the world, the one and only Dubai Fountain.

The Dubai Fountain is situated on the 30 acres Burj Lake and the fountain rises up to 900 feet in the air which is equal to two football fields. The fountain has 50 colour projectors, with 1.5 million lumens, and the fountain dances to Traditional music, Emirati music, and other music as well. 

When the fountain is operational, there is approximately 22000 gallons of water in the air at any given time. You can also take an abra ride at the Burj Lake to observe the Fountain show up close. 

Dubai Mall

The Dubai Mall is home to the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, 1200 shopping outlets, 200 food outlets, and a hotel on its own where you can plan your stay. The Dubai Mall also has a theme park that both adults and children can enjoy.  

The mall is so massive that it will leave you tired from all the exploration, and you still won’t have completed one full tour of the mall.
