Dubai Marina: Where The City Meets The Sea

 In Dubai, Holidays, Honeymoon, Travel

Dubai Marina has been voted one of the 50 coolest neighbourhoods worldwide, so you can imagine what to expect from this place. It has the feel of a community, making it popular among youngsters looking for a nice time on your Dubai Trip

Dubai Marina is on a 2-mile stretch of sand, facing towards the Arabian Gulf, and is the hotspot for tourists for a sun-soaked beach and night outs. Dubai Marina is the city’s waterfront, surrounded by tall buildings and state-of-the-art architecture that will leave you stunned. You can also take Dubai Ferry or Dubai Water, operated by the RTA, and can also go for private boat tours.

Next to the Dubai Marina is Jumeirah Beach Residence, the JBR, which has its own neighbourhood and is actually a gateway from Dubai Marina to the JBR beach.

Dubai Marina Walk

There is a pedestrian walkway, stretching a good 7 km on both sides from the Dubai Marina, called the Marina Promenade, making the walkway lively. All the towers here are just a few minute’s walk away, allowing convenient routes to reach the places where you can go watch some of the popular attractions on foot or via bicycle.

Dubai Marina Walk offers plenty of cafes and restaurants, and shops to buy some of the most amazing souvenirs, allowing you to explore great business at the Dubai Marina. Take a quick bite of the Neapolitan pizza, and have ice cream, all of which is present at the Marina Walkway.

You may often see joggers and cyclists make their way along the route; however, there is enough space for everyone, so there is no need to worry about that.

Public Transport: Dubai Marina has good connectivity, allowing you to reach your destination easily. You can choose Dubai Metro, Dubai Ferry, or Dubai Tram, and two buses operated by RTA to reach the Dubai Marina. Get off at the Sobha Reality Metro or DMCC Metro, which connects with the Dubai Tram, taking a loop around the Dubai Marina.

You can also go for bus number 8, which runs regularly from Dubai Deira to Dubai Marina via Jumeirah Beach Road. You can also choose bus number 84, operating from Al Quoz to Dubai Marina. If you are travelling the full route, then it’s advisable you don’t take the bus, for it will take longer.

If you want, you can take the Dubai Ferry that travels between Dubai Marina Mall, Dubai Water Canal, and Al Shindagha, allowing you to witness the beautiful coastline of the city.

By Car: You can take the Sheikh Zayed Road, using interchange 5, if you are coming from heading towards the North-East end of the Dubai Marina, and for the South-West end, you can use Exit 29.
