Following the path of our ancestors, a new adventure has been constructed in the village of Jadan Pali district, Rajasthan, where construction of a unique temple is taking place. The temple is shaped like the sacred symbol of Hindu culture known as, “Om” and the beautiful temple is still under construction.

The main visionary behind building this iconic temple is Vishwa Guru Maha Mandleshwar Paramahansa Swami Maheswara Nanda Puriji Maharaj. The construction structure of this temple reveals that this is the world’s first temple that is designed in this iconic form. As in Hinduism, the Om mantra is very important. It’s called the Mahamantra and followers recite it every morning when they wake up.

The visual appearance of the temple is mesmerizing and this wonderful architectural masterpiece will not only attract tourists but it has been reported that it has an impressive visual presence that will be visible from the space in a beautiful Om appearance.

Here is the interesting part, are you wondering what god this iconic temple is dedicated to? Yes, you guessed it right,  this temple of “Om” shape is dedicated to Lord Shiva, which is widely constructed on 250 acres of land. The grand temple’s foundation stone was laid in 1995, initiating nearly three decades of meticulous construction involving over 400 workers. As it nears completion, the temple is anticipated to be inaugurated in 2024.

This unique temple, shaped like the sacred Om symbol, will hold 1,008 statues of Lord Mahadev and 12 Jyotirlingas, representing the presence of Shiva. It stands 135 feet tall and is supported by 2,000 pillars. Inside, there are 108 rooms for accommodation, which is a special number in Hinduism. At the top of the temple, there’s a Shivling made of rhinestones from Dholpur’s Bansi hill. Beneath the temple complex, there’s a huge water tank capable of holding 2 lakh tonnes of water.

Swami Maheshwaranand Maharaj, who is highly respected by followers around the world, praised this temple as an amazing architectural accomplishment. He highlighted that it’s the first in the world to be shaped like the revered symbol of Om.

For those excited to visit this amazing temple, Jadan village sits conveniently along National Highway 62, about 71 km from Jodhpur airport. If you’re coming from Delhi, you can catch a train to Ahmedabad and then hop on another train to Marwar Junction, which is close to the temple. So, whether you’re driving or taking the train, getting to this temple is pretty easy!
