Bali Planning To Deal With Unruly Visitors By Imposing Tourism Tax
The Indonesian Island of Bali is popular among tourists for its island, pristine beaches, mountains and rice terraces. The island witnesses hundreds of tourists because of its natural beauty and stunning landscapes.
With the increase in the reports of nuisance, the authorities may impose tourist taxes soon for visitors.
Since the Month of March, tourists have been banned from using two-wheelers, for there were several reports of traffic violations. Some of the tourists were also deported for misusing their work visas and violating religious sites.
As per reports, the taxes collected from the tourists would be used for development purposes, including the restoration of mangroves and coral reefs. This would lead to the development of the Island, making it more suitable for visitors and locals.
