Tuvalu, An Island That May Soon Disappear Into The Sea

 In Travel News

Tuvalu, located somewhere between Hawai and Australia, is one of the most beautiful places in the world. The sad news is that it may not be accessible to tourists because it is already the least visited destination in the world and is likely to soon disappear from the world altogether.

Sitting on the ring of the coral reef in the Pacific Ocean, Tuvalu is an island country facing the threat of disappearing from the face of the Earth.

The country has only 12000 inhabitants and as per reports only 2000 tourists visit the place every year, which is very less. Now the country is on the verge of being swallowed by the ocean due to the rising sea levels.

It has only one international airport, built by the Navy of the United States during the Second World War.

According to reports, the seas have already consumed two of the nine islands, and the remaining are on the verge of disappearing.
