How to reach Langza Village

To reach Langza Village, one will have to reach Kaza in Spiti Valley. There are two possible routes to Kaza. The first one via Shimla, is a longer route, this route is open throughout the year and you will travel from Shimla to Narkanda Tabo and then to Kaza. This route nearly takes 2 days to reach Kaza and is around 440 km from Shimla.

The second way is over Manali, which is about 200 kilometers shorter and can get you to Kaza in a day over the Rohtang and Kunzum passes, but it is only open from May to September; the rest of the year is closed.  

There are public transportation buses that travel on these routes and can be availed, but keep in mind that, while their rates are modest, they take longer and operate only during scheduled times. 

Langza is 16 kilometers from Kaza and one hour’s journey away. If you want to add an element of adventure to your journey, you may hike from Kaza to Hikkim, then Langza, and lastly Komic. These three villages form a circuit that may be completed with a night’s stay in any of them.
