Trongsa Tshechu is celebrated on the 10th day of  Bhutanese lunar calendar. Tshechu means 10th day and which usually falls in the month of December or January. Traveling to Trongsa Dzong Bhutan

Air ways: 

Bhutan has airports and in that it has only one international airport, Paro International Airport. You can take the flight to reach Paro International Airport from all major metro cities. Once you reach the Paro airport, from there you need to take a bus or hire a taxi and drive for 6 to 7 hr through Bumthang-Ura Highway to reach Trongsa. 

Train ways:

To reach Trongsa the nearest railway stations are New Jalpaiguri,New Alipurduar, Hasimara, these are the nearest Indian railway stations to Bhutan. After arriving at any of these railway stations, you should take a roadway journey Phuentsholing town which is the main entry point lies on the India -Bhutan Border, and continue driving along Thimphu-Phuentsholing Highway to reach Trongsa by road. It takes around 9 to 10 hours to reach.

By Road: 

There are two roads to reach Trongsa Bhutan. One is from Assam and the other Jaigaon town in West Bengal.  From Jaigaon town you can reach Phuentsholing as the main entry point and continue to drive along Thimphu-Phuentsholing Highway to reach Trongsa by road. It takes around 9 to 10 hours to reach.

Another route is from Assam. You need to reach Bongaigaon town in Assam and from there to Gelephu which is around 50 -60 km away from this town. From Gelephu, you should continue driving along the Wangdue-Tsirang Highway for 8 to 9 hours  to reach Trongsa by road.
