Thunderstorms Alert Issued In Kedarnath For The Next Four Days; State Under Orange Alert

As the yatra season has just kicked in, pilgrims at Kedarnath have been witnessing continuous snowfall since Sunday morning. The meteorological department has issued an alert for thunderstorms for the next four days. The Uttarakhand Police has asked the travelers to be careful and has issued an advisory. Tourists can dial 112 for any kind of emergency assistance. The department has issued an orange alert with predictions that for the next four days, there will be thunderstorms at 70 km/hour, and the regions that fall above 3500 m will have continuous snowfall. As reported, it has been snowing for the past 13 days in Kedarnath with unclear weather. Pilgrims have been advised to be careful and continue the journey when the weather clears up and is good to go.
