New Delhi To Host Travel For Life Summit On 8th March
Exciting news for travel enthusiasts! New Delhi is all set to host the ‘Travel for Life’ Summit 2024 on March 8th. This special event is a collaboration between the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India, and the Hotel Association of India.
The summit is a big deal as it aims to revolutionize the tourism and hospitality industries. Happening at Hotel Le-Meridien in New Delhi, the summit’s goal is to make India a global leader in tourism and hospitality excellence. The main focus is on promoting sustainable tourism practices that consider economic, social, and environmental goals.
A key part of the summit is the “Travel for LiFE” initiative, launched by the Ministry of Tourism. This initiative wants to change how tourists behave and how businesses operate in the tourism sector by integrating sustainability into everything. The aim is to create a tourism industry that is sustainable, responsible, and resilient, emphasizing big changes in behavior, environmental conservation, and action against climate change.
Given India’s G20 Presidency and the New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration, the summit plans to bring together government officials, industry leaders, diplomats, international agencies, practitioners, and media representatives. They’ll work together to come up with practical strategies for sustainable tourism development.
More than just a conference, the “Tourism Sustainability Summit 2024” aims to be a game-changer, steering the global and national tourism sectors toward sustainability. It’s an exciting step towards making our travel experiences better for the planet!
